Painting For Fun!

Here's a painting I did last night! It was nice having acrylic paint on my hands again. I used colored pencil for the leaves. This is based off of a Valentino outfit from Pinterest and inspired by Paper Fashion!

Here's a slideshow of the process! Music is "Different Colors" by Walk the Moon.

2015 Winter Figure Drawing Marathon Conclusion!

Scanned the rest!  These are 95% from the last day of the figure drawing marathon, when Stephen Silver guest lectured!  I learned so much and I am now trying to apply Stephen's techniques more and more to my sketches.

Gestures:
Exaggerating and caricaturing figures:
Longer poses:
I thought of someone like Jeeves from
the Ask Jeeves website for the chef :-)
Faces from around the classroom:
Weird things:
I think I've seen a cartoon like the little IRS-aphobic
girl I drew but I don't know where from. Her fear is
something I thought would just be weird, though.

Inspired

Recently, and through Illustration Friday, I learned about the artist Ola Volo.  And boy have I been inspired!  I made this today:
"Grief"

Color variations that I thought were cool:

Process:

Playlist: Feist, Young the Giant, Walk the Moon, Norah Jones, and "Terrier" by Tamora Pierce on audiobook :-)

Rallydog

Quick illustration of my black labrador, Rallydog Champion of the Universe Case (that is his legal name):

He loves his stuffed peppermint Christmas present!  I was inspired to paint this after looking at Salamispot's process video!
